Can I log in from multiple devices?
You can log in from as many devices as you need — there's no device limit. Your progress, certificates, and account settings sync in real time, so a chapter you finish on your laptop is marked complete the next time you log in on your phone. For security, we automatically log you out of inactive sessions after a long idle period, and you can manually log out from a device by visiting your account settings. If you ever suspect someone else accessed your account, change your password from the settings page and our system will end all active sessions.
The cross-device sync is part of why an online traffic school course works for drivers with split-screen lives — chapters started on a desktop during a lunch break can be finished on a tablet at home in the evening, with no manual save or transfer. The sync runs against the same backend session record, so the progress shown on any device matches the progress on every other device within a few seconds. Drivers who like to read on a tablet but prefer the larger keyboard on a laptop for the final exam routinely switch between devices for those purposes.
A small subset of drivers run into device-specific quirks: an older browser without the security features the platform requires, a corporate device with strict cookie restrictions, a phone with aggressive battery-saver settings that pauses background tabs. Those situations resolve by switching to a different device or enabling the necessary browser feature. Support can identify whether a login issue is account-side or device-side by looking at the session attempts in our logs; if the device is the problem, the fastest fix is usually a different browser or device rather than fighting the original setup.
