Are there hidden fees, commissions, or surprise charges?
We don't add commissions, processing fees, or surprise charges between the course page and the checkout total — what you see on the course page is what you pay (But our partners could have fees or additional charges). State-imposed court or DMV fees, when they exist, are listed clearly and separately on the enrollment screen so the full cost is visible up front. A few states require providers to collect a state filing fee on top of the course tuition; that fee appears as its own line item with the destination labeled (DMV, court, or state agency), so there's no ambiguity about where each dollar goes.
Add-on services — overnight or two-day certificate mailing for tight court deadlines, mailed paper copies in states that require physical filing, certified copies for legal proceedings — are optional and shown with their cost before you select them. Nothing toggles on by default. If your final receipt shows anything you didn't expect or didn't authorize, contact our support team and we'll investigate the same business day. Receipt entries reference the specific transaction ID, so reconciling a charge to a specific enrollment is a one-minute lookup on our side.
The transparent-pricing approach is a deliberate competitive choice. Some providers compete on advertised tuition and bury the state filing fee at checkout, which makes their headline price look lower than ours but produces the same or higher total at the moment of payment. We deliberately show the all-in number on the course page so apples-to-apples comparisons are honest comparisons. For drivers comparing the cheapest online traffic school options across providers, the right number to compare is the all-in checkout total, not the advertised tuition — and we make that number visible from the start.
