I took traffic school last year — can I take it again?

I took California traffic school in Orange County for a ticket about 13 months ago. I just got another ticket in Anaheim — am I eligible again?

Hello Jennifer, Thanks for asking. California allows traffic school once every 18 months as a way to mask one point on your record. Since your previous completion was 13 months ago, you would not be eligible until you cross the 18-month mark. To plan around this: - Call the Orange County Superior Court that issued the new ticket and ask about your options - If the 18-month window has not yet passed, courts sometimes offer alternative resolutions like community service or a payment plan - Once you are past the 18-month window, you can take traffic school again We can hold any enrollment until you confirm eligibility, so you do not pay early.
