Senior course in Saint Paul — is it different?
I am 72 and live in Saint Paul. Is the senior version of the course different from the regular one?
Hello Eleanor, Yes — the Minnesota mature driver refresher is a shorter 4-hour course designed specifically for drivers 55 and older, with content focused on vision changes, reaction time, and medication effects, in addition to the standard defensive driving topics. Two things to know: - The first-time mature driver course is 8 hours; the refresher (every 3 years) is 4 hours - Both qualify for the Minnesota 10 percent insurance discount under Minn. Stat. §65B.28 - You can enroll based on which version you need; we will guide you at signup The course is fully online and saves your progress automatically.
