Can I take Defensive Driving twice this year?
I took Arizona Defensive Driving in February for a ticket in Phoenix and just got another ticket in April. Can I use the course again?
Hello Mike, Thanks for reaching out. Arizona law allows a Defensive Driving School dismissal only once every 12 months. Since you completed a course on 2/14/2026, you would not be eligible for a second dismissal until on or after 2/15/2027. Here is what we recommend for the April ticket: - Call the court that issued the new citation and ask about other resolution options - Some Arizona courts allow a deferral or a payment plan instead of DDS - You can still take the course voluntarily for your own records, but it will not dismiss the new ticket We can place the second enrollment on hold so you do not pay until you decide.
