Hello Jason, Yes, taking an approved Basic Driver Improvement Course (BDIC) keeps eligible violation points off your record in Michigan: - Under Michigan law, eligible drivers who receive a BDIC notice have 60 days to pass the course - Passing prevents the Secretary of State from adding violation points to your master driving record and keeps the ticket hidden from insurance companies - We report your completion directly to the Michigan Department of State database electronically.
