I am in Charleston, West Virginia. Will the defensive driving course get me an insurance discount?

Hello Earl, West Virginia does not mandate a statewide discount, but most major WV insurance carriers offer 5-10 percent for 2-3 years after completion of an approved defensive driving course. To activate: - Email or upload your completion certificate to your insurer - Ask about the percentage, effective date, and expiration - Drivers 55+ often qualify for a larger or longer discount If your current carrier does not offer one, calling another WV carrier often finds one that does.
