I started the New York course for a ticket I got in Manhattan. Why does it have to be 320 minutes?

Respuesta

Hello Aaron, Good question. New York DMV's Point and Insurance Reduction Program (PIRP) is set at 320 minutes (about 5 hours, 20 minutes) by state law — this is the minimum required to qualify for both the 4-point reduction and the 10 percent insurance discount. Important details: - The 320 minutes is timed actively — you cannot fast-forward - The course can be split across multiple days - The 4-point reduction and 10 percent discount apply automatically once you pass If you step away, the timer pauses. Most students complete the course over 2 or 3 sessions. New York PIRP (Point and Insurance Reduction Program) Please let us know if you have any further questions!
