Completing an approved Basic Driver Improvement Course (BDIC) protects your driving and insurance records in Michigan: - Eligible drivers have 60 days from the Secretary of State notice date to pass an approved BDIC course - Passing prevents violation points from being entered on your master driving record and keeps the ticket hidden from insurance companies - We report your passing score directly to the Michigan Secretary of State database electronically.
