I received a speeding citation in Jacksonville. Can I elect the 4-hour BDI course online so points do not go on my Florida license?

Hello Jeffrey, Yes, under Florida Statute § 318.14(9), electing the Basic Driver Improvement (BDI) course keeps points off your record: - Notify the Duval County Clerk of Court within 30 days of receiving your ticket and pay the civil penalty - Complete our FLHSMV-approved online course; points will be withheld and insurance rates cannot be raised for this infraction - We report your completion directly to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) and Duval County court.
