I got a speeding ticket in Anchorage. Does the Alaska court accept an online course to keep points off my record?
Hello Robert, Great question. Alaska does not have a state-mandated point-reduction program the way California or Florida do, but many Alaska courts will accept a completed defensive driving course on a case-by-case basis. Before you enroll, please: - Call the Anchorage District Court that issued the ticket and ask whether they accept a completed defensive driving course as a condition of your case - Confirm whether they require a specific provider or any state-approved program We will send the completion record to you and, if requested, directly to the court.
