I took the Virginia Driver Improvement Clinic online for a Fairfax court. I heard I get 5 safe-driving points. Is that right?
Hello Hilda, Yes — Virginia DMV awards 5 safe-driving points after voluntary completion of an approved Driver Improvement Clinic, up to a maximum of +5 above the standard ceiling. How the timing works: - We report your completion to Virginia DMV electronically, usually within 24 hours - The 5 safe-driving points post to your record within 7-14 business days - Safe-driving points offset demerit points on your record If you do not see the credit after 14 business days, reply with your Virginia driver's license number and we will re-verify.
