Under Florida Statute § 318.14(9), electing to take the 4-Hour Basic Driver Improvement (BDI) course will prevent points from assessing on your record: - You must notify the Hillsborough County Clerk within 30 days of receiving your citation and pay the civil penalty fee - Electing traffic school ensures adjudication is withheld, meaning no points go on your Florida driving record and your insurance rates will not increase for this infraction - After finishing our FLHSMV-approved online course, your completion is automatically reported to the Hillsborough County Clerk and the Florida DMV database.
