However, once the court has processed your completion with the DMV, you must take the following additional step in order to get the point removed from your record. You must contact the Department of Motor Vehicles Mandatory Actions Unit (MAU) and make the request by calling (916) 657-6525. The DMV representative whom you speak to will be able to handle your request.
